Ian is the Senior Application Developer at Fawkes Health. He brings 20 years of IT experience in the fields of development, infrastructure, telecom, and security. Ian is well versed in Ruby, Python, JavaScript, SQL, C, and shell scripting.

Away from the keyboard, he is also a licensed pyrotechnician and maker of fireworks, and avid outdoorsman and traveler. Ian has lived all over the country, and recently made Ohio home base when he and his fiance had a daughter. Ian has operated a car, motorhome, scooter, airplane, commercial truck, school bus, bicycle, glider, tugboat, freight train, stretch limo, earthmoving equipment, and hot air balloon, and is currently the only member of the team with a flamethrower.

Brad is one of our Developers working mostly on our ETL and Reconciliation systems. He studied English Literature and Creative Writing at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and currently works from Chicago, IL. Brad works mostly with Python and SQL.

When he is not working, he tries to go for runs or paint pictures as often as he can. Some of his other interests include: camping, grocery shopping, cooking, taking pictures, reading, listening to music, and singing.

Daniel is a Developer at Fawkes Health. Originally from Champaign, IL, Daniel attended the University of Illinois and now resides in Urbana, IL, with his parrot, Koda and plant collection. Some of Daniel's favorites include trivia, playing/teaching tennis, video games, and solving Rubik’s cubes.

Sam joined Fawkes Health as a Level 1 Developer after making the career change from filmmaking to tech. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Film and Media Arts from Temple University in Philadelphia and continued her education at General Assembly through their Software Engineering Fellowship in Chicago. Her favorite thing about being a developer is she can be creative with her work and find new ways to solve problems. Sam works mostly with Ruby, Javascript, CSS, and HTML.

Sam majored in Film and still enjoys her creative side - painting, drawing, and making videos.

Rachel joined the engineering team as a Developer in September 2020 after completing the software engineering immersive at General Assembly in Washington, DC. Rachel is excited at the opportunity to use Python every day and pick up other skills along the way. Before becoming a software developer she studied history, with a focus in post-Reconstruction US History at McDaniel College.

Currently she lives in Northern Virginia with her family and two dogs. In her free time, Rachel enjoys collecting nail polish, tv and movies, and playing board games with her friends.

Izzy joined the engineering team as a Developer at Fawkes Health in October 2020. Prior to working at Fawkes, she completed a software engineering bootcamp through General Assembly. Her favorite thing about working at Fawkes is that no day is the same and that there is always something new to learn. She is originally from New York, moved to Chicago for college nine years ago, and has been there ever since. Izzy works primarily with Python and SQL.

Some of her favorite things to do are riding her bike, swimming in Lake Michigan, practicing yoga, and trying new gluten-free recipes.

Eric started as a developer Fawkes in May 2024. He studied New Media in the Art program at the University of Illinois. After graduating he moved to Wisconsin, where he now lives in Eau Claire with his wife and two kids. After years of working different jobs from the food industry, construction, theatre production, and sound design, Eric went back to school to hone his programming skills. He brings a creative mindset to problems, and is currently working with the app development team.

Outside of work Eric is a really cool dad and touring musician. He enjoys riding bikes with his kids and doing anything outside. He plays guitar and the drums and loves to build music equipment and is interested in all things music!"
